Here's our 2016 Pro Dealer of the Year

2/20/2018

New York – HBSDealer, the building products and home improvement retailing magazine of Lebhar-Friedman Inc., selected Edmond, Oklahoma-based T.H. Rogers Lumber Company as the 2016 Pro Dealer of the Year.

The annual award, selected by editors of HBSDealer with the input of key suppliers and industry stakeholders, is designed to recognize a high-performance company with a commitment to best practices and the best values of the lumber and building material industry.

T.H. Rogers Lumber gets its name from Thomas Houston Rogers, who founded the company in 1901, before Oklahoma entered the United States. It has grown to 34 locations and operates also in Missouri, Kansas and Arkansas.

The company manages a wide range of product categories and services for builders, remodelers and homeowners. And over the generations it has earned a reputation as a strong competitor and valued corporate citizen in each of its markets.

“Our company’s success is directly and solely tied to the hard work and commitment of our employees,” said Jonathan Kennedy, president and general manager. “Anyone who has been in our industry for any length of time knows that any sustained success is tied directly to hard work. It is truly inspiring to be able to work with people who bring an unmatched work ethic to our company each and every day.”

Through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan adopted in 1993, T.H. Rogers allows staff to share in the growth and prosperity of the company, while cultivating a spirit of teamwork. The employees own roughly 40% of the company.

T.H. Rogers is also an active member of the Oklahoma Lumbermen’s Association.

“We’re proud to recognize a company that values its customers, values its people and represents the best of the hardware and building supply industry,” said Ken Clark, editor in chief of HBSDealer.

T.H. Rogers will accept the award during the 2016 Pro Dealer Industry Summit, sponsored jointly by the National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association and HBSDealer. The event is slated for Charleston, South Carolina, Oct. 25-27.
