ENAP opens southern sales office
ENAP, the New Windsor, N.Y.-based LBM co-op, has announced the opening of a sales office in Monroe, La. The new office is part of ENAP’s regional growth strategy as the organization continues to expand its membership base in the South and into the Southwest. ENAP has hired industry veteran Robert Carson as VP business development to direct staff and operations in the region.
Carson spent 30 years with Allied Building Stores. “He’s already signed a deal in Texas,” ENAP president Stephen Sallah told Home Channel News. Tuttle Lumber in San Marcos, Texas, has joined the co-op, where “the membership has been very supportive of this [expansion],” Sallah said. “They want us to grow.”
David Sutherland, chairman of the ENAP board, said in a prepared statement: “We will build upon our success in the South and expand our capabilities and membership in the South and Southwest. We feel strongly that our value proposition of buying power, strong customer service and transparency will resonate with independent lumber dealers.”
Founded in 1967, ENAP is a lumber and building materials cooperative that serves independent LBM dealers nationwide.
