Eco Red Shield selected in New Jersey Sandy rebuild
Eco Red Shield protected lumber has been selected as the lumber of choice in the construction of new modular homes for New Jersey's Hurricane Sandy rebuild.
According to parent company Eco Building Products, a total of 75 modular homes by Statewide Custom Modular Homes are under contract to be constructed using Eco Red Shield; seven of which have aleady been ordered by Statewide president Bruce Goodstein.
"Being that this is a rebuild, and perception is 9/10 of the law, Bruce and his team knew that to remain the leader in their market, they had to raise the bar and provide a superior product for their clients," said Steve Conboy, president and CEO of Eco Building Products. "Recent Web-based articles are circulating that highlight the fire dangers associated with modular homes and light-gauge construction. Bruce Goodstein and Statewide Homes have decided to switch to Eco Red Shield at all costs to ensure his modular homes are not included in that discussion."
Conboy added that Statewide's Virginia-based producer, Nationwide Homes, will be working closely with Eco's affiliate in Virginia in the creation of the new channel opportunity. It is expected that all of Statewide's future modular homes will eventually be constructed with Eco Red Shield, Conboy said.
