Cedar Creek acquires Denver distributor
Oklahoma City-based Cedar Creek entered into an agreement to purchase the assets of All-Coast Forest Products’ distribution location in Denver.
The agreement is expected to be finalized by June 6. All-Coast will continue to operate in Cloverdale, Calif.
D. Wayne Trousdale, Cedar Creek’s COO, commented, “We are very pleased to acquire an outstanding location and a great team of people in the growing Denver market. We plan to add several new product categories and offer a broad range of specialty and commodity wood products for lumberyards and the industrial customer.”
Cedar Creek - Denver will stock a variety of products, including cedar, siding, trim, EWP, hardwood plywood, boards, MDF, MDO, melamine, decking, and commodity lumber and panels.
Cedar Creek describes itself as “America’s fastest-growing wholesale building material distribution company.” It has 15 locations covering 24 states in the Mid-South, Midwest, Southeast and Rocky Mountain States. In May 2010, Cedar Creek was recapitalized by Boston-based Charlesbank Capital Partners, with the goal of providing flexible capital for the company to grow beyond its current trade areas.
