Carter Lumber promotes Donley
Kent, Ohio-based Carter Lumber promoted Jeff Donley to the post of president and chief operating officer.
The company also promoted Jeff Seder and Kip Gleckler.
Donley has been with Carter Lumber since 1995 and has served in a variety of management positions, including risk manager, chief financial officer and most recently as senior VP and chief operating officer.
He is responsible for all operations of the Carter-Jones Family of Companies, including the development and execution of corporate strategy. In his new role, he will continue to report to Neil Sackett, chairman and CEO.
Carter Lumber was the 2007 HCN Pro Dealer of the Year.
Seder has been promoted to senior VP. Under his new role, Seder will be responsible for all finance, credit, technology and all other corporate functions. He joined Carter Lumber in 1984 through the acquisition of Z&L Lumber in Pittsburgh and has held a variety of positions, including technology manager and VP technology, credit and finance.
Carter Lumber Store Operations have been realigned, and a new position has been created to handle these responsibilities. Gleckler, a 22-year Carter Lumber veteran, has been named to the new position of senior VP field operations. Under his new role, district managers and manufacturing divisions will report to Gleckler. He started as a sales associate in Toledo, Ohio, and has held store manager, district manager and most recently regional VP positions with the company.
With their new roles, Seder and Gleckler will work closely together and report to Donley.
