Beacon Roofing Supply makes a couple executive appointments

2/20/2018

Beacon Roofing Supply has announced the appointment of Brendan P. Daly as chief supply chain officer and Patrick G. Murphy as EVP business improvement.

“I am excited to work with Brendan again and have him join the Beacon team," said president and CEO Paul Isabella. "Through working with him at Cooper Industries, The Stanley Works, and GE, I know that his strength in strategic and tactical planning and implementation will be a benefit for Beacon as we continue to drive continuous improvement through our purchasing and supply chain organization. He will be able to build upon Pat Murphy’s great work in building our supply chain organization and this will allow Pat to return to an operational improvement role. These moves further will strengthen Beacon’s senior management team.”

Daly brings over 25 years of experience to the table in sourcing, logistics, transportation and purchasing for manufacturing and distribution sites. He will be leaving his position as VP of Supply Chain-Americas at Zodiac Pool Systems. He has also worked in various supply chain-related roles for Cooper Industries, The Stanley Works and General Electric. Daly will relocate from San Diego to Herndon, Va. for his new role.

Meanwhile, Murphy touts over 25 years with Beacon, having been promoted to an EVP role in 2011. Murphy will assist Daly in his transition and will lead business improvement initiatives, largely acquisition-related, across the company in his new role. He will remain with Beacon's South Division headquarters in Goldsboro, N.C.
