Lugbill Supply Center expands in Ohio
Archbold, Ohio-based Lugbill Supply Center acquired Affiliated Lumber in Swanton, Ohio, as part of an aggressive growth strategy, expanding its operation to two locations in northwestern Ohio.
Lugbill President Isaac Weber said the acquisition fits perfectly into a larger plan.
“I have a long-term plan to serve the Northern Ohio and Northeastern Indiana regions, and Affiliated Lumber was a perfect fit for several reasons,” Weber said. “Their geographic location and dedication to customer service aligned with my vision and values, plus they have solid growth potential.”
According to Weber, this acquisition is just the first step toward growing the Lugbill Supply Center business.
Lugbill is a member of Fort Wayne, Indiana-based Do it Best co-op.
“We’ve already established a synergy by sharing inventory to better serve our customers, and I’m excited about how our combined buying power will help grow our businesses. Many folks have a ‘small town, big price’ mindset, but that’s just not the case at Lugbill or Affiliated Lumber. We’re already priced to compete with big boxes, and we’re only going to become more competitive.”
Weber said he’s open to continued growth through acquisition or ground-up locations.
“Either way, my goal is to be a destination for both small-town communities and pro contractors,” he said. “They shouldn’t have to drive 20-plus miles or to multiple locations to get what they need.”
