LMC moves annual meeting to virtual format

Forest products and building materials buying group LMC announced that it will host its 2021 annual meeting via a virtual format.

The buying group plans to hold the event from March 22 to March 26.

The weeklong meeting will feature familiar events in a digital setting with virtual booths, professional education seminars, a keynote speaker, new products, new program opportunities, and the ability to meet with LMC dealers in a virtual platform.

“Out of an abundance of caution, it was necessary for the safety of everyone to pivot to a virtual platform for the LMC annual this year,” said LMC President and CEO John Somerville. “The LMC team, along with our dealers and suppliers, successfully adapted to the challenges presented last year and we hope to continue that momentum with the LMC annual.”

This is the first time that the LMC Annual Meeting will be held virtually, but the organization said that it is well-versed at hosting virtual events. In 2020, LMC successfully hosted the first virtual editions of the Hardware Express in August and the LMC Expo in November.

LMC said it will provide more information leading up to the event.
