Latest acquisition puts Nation's Best in Florida

7/14/2020

Nation’s Best Holdings, the rapidly rising home improvement and building materials retailer, has expanded into Florida through the acquisition of Hall’s Hardware.

Located in Santa Rosa County, Fla., near the tourist destination of Pensacola Beach, Hall's Hardware has served the region since 1960. Hall’s is known for being a fully-stocked hardware store with an old-fashioned general store feel.

The dealer’s success is driven by its wide variety of hardware items, while offering many niche categories such as clothing, pet supplies, candles, gifts, and more, Nation's Best said. Along with serving the community and tourists, Hall’s carries lawn and garden products and maintains a lumberyard for contractors and DIYers.

As part of Nation’s Best’s acquisition strategy, Hall’s Hardware will operate under its existing name with its key leadership team continuing to oversee company operations. Nation’s Best said that it will provide the strategic and financial support necessary to achieve optimal growth and profitability.

“We are pleased to welcome Hall’s Hardware to the Nation’s Best family, firmly establishing our market presence in the attractive Florida Panhandle,” said Chris Miller, president and CEO of Nation’s Best. “With a deep hardware store, a diverse line of niche product categories, and a business that is built with core values of treating associates and customers with the utmost care and respect, Hall’s Hardware is a great fit and addition to the Nation’s Best family of companies.”

Nation’s Best is a member-owner of Do it Best Corp. and operates 4 divisions with 10 in locations in 3 states, including Texas and Oklahoma. The company has more than 230 associates.

“It has been a pleasure getting to know the Nation’s Best team over the past few months and we welcome the opportunity to partner with a company that shares our core values,” said Wade and Brad Allen, from the Hall’s Hardware management team. “On behalf of the Allen family and our dedicated employees, we look forward to this exciting new chapter with Nation’s Best as we continue to provide our customers with the highest quality of service in the years to come.”

Last March Nation’s Best expanded when it acquired five Bridgeport Building Center locations in Texas.
