Kodiak names new VP of HR

Jenny Vasquez was the company’s first hire in the department.

Kodiak Building Partners has promoted Jenny Vasquez to vice president of human resources. 

In her new position, and as a member of the building products distributor’s executive leadership team, Vasquez will oversee an array of human resource functions, including evaluating the people-related business strategy through a top talent lens, the company said. Vasquez will also concentrate on talent acquisition, engagement strategies, performance management, learning and development, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness. 

The Highlands Ranch, Colorado-based company said Vasquez’s strategic vision will amplify Kodiak's commitment to building an agile and adaptable workforce that meets the demands of a rapidly evolving business landscape.

Vasquez joined Kodiak in 2017 as a human resources director and Kodiak’s first hire in the department.  During her career at Kodiak in this position, she has led the mergers and acquisitions HR diligence and integrations for all acquisitions since 2017 and has been a key player in building Kodiak’s HR department and establishing best practices. 

She is also accredited for implementing a new payroll system and application tracking system for Kodiak HQ and operating companies across the nation. Jenny was promoted to senior director of human resources at Kodiak in November of 2022.

HBSDealer and the National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association have named Kodiak Building Partners as the 2023 ProDealer of the Year.

Founded in 2011 to acquire locally owned and operated businesses in the building material sales and distribution industries, over the last 12 years Kodiak has purchased over 100 locations that serve general contractors, homebuilders, sub-contractors, remodelers, and consumers.
