Klein helmet fan cools your head
Klein Tools introduced the Cooling Fan for Klein Tools’ Hard Hats and Safety Helmets. This lightweight, quiet, cooling solution can cool your head, neck, or face regardless of the shell design, Klein said.
“Managing heat stress is a major issue on jobsites, and it starts by keeping yourself cool, especially your head area,” said Shantanu Deshpande, senior product manager at the Lincolnshire, Ill.-based firm.
Dual centrifugal fans that feature high and low speed, maintain effective airflow and quiet operation, the company indicated, adding that it attaches directly to its helmets’ exclusive accessory mounts, and no straps are needed.
“Klein’s new cooling fan is a one-of-a-kind portable solution that provides hours of continuous airflow, allowing professionals to stay cool and focused on the job,” the manager related.
“The versatility of the mounting and duct system,” Deshpande pointed out, “allows professionals to easily reconfigure the system to focus airflow to the face, head, or neck area as their personal, jobsite, or environmental needs change.”
The firm noted up to 16 configurations, with the fan powered by an external modular rechargeable battery for up to 6 hours of continuous operation.
