“We plant roots in each of our neighborhood locations and intend to maintain the community focus established by the previous owners,” said Falcone.
“My grandfather opened our first location in Springfield, Mass. in 1926, and we have been in continuous operation under the same family ownership for three generations,” said Falcone.
Rocky’s was founded by Rocco “Rocky” J. Falcone as a mom-and pop business, the company said. Then in 1966, Rocco’s son James began to run the business. He expanded in the 1970s and 80s, and along the way became an Ace Hardware dealer. Currently, James Falcone remains chairman of Rocky’s, while his son, Rocco J. Falcone II, serves as president.
Today, Rocky’s specializes in paint, hardware, lawn and garden, and grilling, the hardware said, and its staff is fully trained in all areas so they can answer all paint, power, home preservation and grilling questions.
The hardware offers top of the line manufacturers like Benjamin Moore, STIHL, DeWalt, Milwaukee, Carhartt, Traeger and Weber and many more.
