IWP names new VP of specialty wood products

International Wood Products (IWP) announced that Mark Kleps has accepted a new position as vice president of specialty wood products (SWP).

The move is effective August 1.  Kleps comes to IWP with extensive industry experience, most recently as VP of Sales with Disdero Lumber, the company said.

IWP said that Kleps brings excellent leadership skills from his 15-year career at Disdero and previous experience in mill sales and distribution.

Also, IWP said that it is planning for significant growth in the coming years in both market share and geography, which requires a strong and committed leadership team.  

“Mark will be a valuable asset for our team,” said Jason Allen, IWP executive vice president. “His experience, knowledge and professionalism will benefit IWP as we continue to grow in the West."   

Kleps said that he is excited about the new opportunity and his new position at IWP.

Based in Clackamas, Ore., IWP is an independent, full-service stocking distributor and manufacturer of quality building materials providing service to building materials suppliers in the Western United States.
Last week, IWP announced that Aaron George has accepted a position at the company as senior vice president of sales effective August 1.
