Husqvarna Division appoints president
Glen Instone has been appointed president of the Husqvarna Division within Husqvarna Group, the company said, and he will continue to serve as the Group CFO until his successor is appointed.
“I am very pleased to see Glen become the president of the Husqvarna Division, a role he has been successfully leading since July, combined with his CFO role,” said Henric Andersson, president and CEO Husqvarna Group.
Instone will take up the permanent position within the Husqvarna Division on Jan. 1, 2022, the firm said.
“His broad experience and knowledge about our company combined with his leadership skills will be of great value to further strengthen and grow the Husqvarna Division,” said Andersson.
Instone has served as Group CFO since 2018, and as acting president of the Husqvarna Division since July 1, 2021.
Since joining Husqvarna in 2002, Glen has held various positions including VP of global sales and services of Husqvarna Division 2016-2018; VP and CFO of Husqvarna Division 2014-2017; and VP and CFO EMEA 2013-2014.
“I look forward to continue to lead the great team within the Husqvarna Division in a truly exciting time in our history. We have re-invented ourselves for more than 330 years and continue to lead the transformation of our industry through electrification, automation, digitalization and sustainability,” said Instone.
“With our customers at the center of what we do, we are driving sustainable growth within both the residential and professional business areas” said Instone.
The Group CFO recruitment process has been initiated, said the company.
Founded in 1689, The Husqvarna Group, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, is a manufacturer of outdoor power products including chainsaws, trimmers, brush cutters, cultivators, garden tractors and mowers.
