In recognition of its 100th Anniversary, HPM Building Supply is celebrating the people and communities that have played a part in shaping the history of the company.
HPM is partnering with nonprofits and other organizations across Hawaii to fulfill 100 Acts of Service. Each act represents a year of operation as HPM celebrates its centennial milestone.
“Together we’ve built homes, we’ve built families, and we’ve built our community. Through thick and thin, we will continue to come together to build an even stronger, more resilient Hawaii,” the dealer said on its website.
The 100 Acts of Service initiative is led by a group of 22 owner-employees who serve as Community Building Team Champions. So far, they have organized more than 50 projects, which owner-employees from across the state have completed.
Completed projects include collecting diaper donations for the Hawaii Diaper Bank, hosting animal adoption drives, volunteering at the Hawaii Food Basket, organizing beach and park cleanups, and donating renovation supplies to organizations in need.
HPM locations in Hilo, Kona and Waimea stores raised 13,966 diapers and 257 packs of wipes, which will help 300 children and babies with their monthly supply.
“Hawai'i Diaper Bank is so honored to have been a recipient of HPM’s 100 Acts of Service,” Jessica Histo, founder and president of Hawaii Diaper Bank said.
