Lasership, the regional e-commerce parcel carrier offering last-mile delivery service, has appointed Mark Holifield as the company’s new CEO.
Holifield comes to LaserShip from The Home Depot, where he is currently executive vice president of supply chain and product development, and brings decades of experience to the company. He joined The Home Depot in 2006 as senior vice president of supply chain.
The Home Depot announced today that John Deaton has been promoted and replaces Holifield as executive vice president, effective Nov. 1.
As the new CEO of Lasership, Holifield will assume day-to-day leadership of the company effective Nov. 8 and succeed interim CEO Mike Roth, who will remain a board member.
Roth, former vice president of Norther American operations at Amazon, had been named interim CEO just a week ago.

Lasership also officially announced that ti is acquiring another regional carrier, OnTrac. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter and will give Lasership a presence in the West. OnTrac provides service in California along with metro markets in Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Colorado, and Idaho.
“Mark's experience building large-scale networks will enable our successful combination with OnTrac as we look to merge the companies' networks to provide expanded customer service in 2022,” Manuel said.
