Report: Depot DC for Big D
According to a report in the Dallas Business Journal, the Dallas City Council voted 11-3 to provide some $6 million in incentives for Home Depot to build a distribution center in southern Dallas.
The D.C. is described as a multi-million-square-foot center that will be the largest facility in the United States, according to Mayor Pro Tem Casey Taylor. When contacted, Home Depot would not confirm that the facility would be the largest in its network.
The creation of the facility will eventually bring some 800 jobs to the area, according to the report.
