Weekly Circular Roundup: Cyber Monday
Theme of the Week: Cyber Monday
Black Friday has come and gone, and the busiest shopping season of the year is off and running. Home Depot, Lowe’s, Menards and Sears are all aiming to take advantage of, Cyber Monday, the traditional day of Internet shopping from the office. But there is no consensus on the categories of focus. For Home Depot, it’s power tools with Ryobi cordless kits at the top of the list; Lowe’s is featuring vacuum cleaners and small appliances; while Menards is taking a shot at home decor and furniture. Sears is of course heavily touting its Craftsman brand.
Hot Products: A variety
Home Depot is pushing a four-piece 18-volt Ryobi Cordless kit, including a drill, circular saw, flashlight and radio for $89.
Lowe’s is featuring a Hoover SteamVac All-Terrain Steam Cleaner for $149, down from $299.99.
In Maryland, Strosniders True Value of Bethesda, Potomac and Silver Spring are featuring three Black & Decker corded power tools: A one-fourth sheet finishing sander, a variable speed jigsaw and a three-eighths variable speed drill kit, each for $19.99.
The Skinny
Menards seems to be marching to its own tune on Cyber Monday, by focusing on furniture and decor through its "Special Order Center." The deals focus on blinds, area rugs and furniture for 30% below their regular price.
