Weekly Circular Roundup
Theme of the Week: Storage
The holidays bring gifts along with the problem of where to put them all. This year, retailers are looking to jump on the post-holiday activity with sales on everything from shelving to storage containers. Lowe’s is telling consumers to “Store More,” while Home Depot and Ace are other examples of companies looking to help consumers find space for all of their holiday wears.
Hot Products
Lowe’s is featuring a five-tier heavy-duty steel-shelving unit for $68.98
At Home Depot, 18-gallon tote containers are being listed at $3.98
Ace is promoting a Gorilla Rack, a steel-shelving unit that is convertible to be used as a workbench, for $29 after a $10 mail-in rebate.
The Skinny: The Green Bag
Our circular of the week is the Menards Going Green Sale. It’s a simple-enough concept: Bring in a Menards reusable green bag, fill it with stuff, and receive 15% off all those items. If you don’t have the bag, Menards will sell you one for $0.98. And customers aren’t required to buy green products; using the bag itself is the green statement. And while there are a few restrictions, Menards may have found an interesting way to get customers to switch to reusable bags.
