True Value announces Design SOS winner

A Gettysburg, Pa., resident will be receiving a $2,500 bathroom makeover, thanks to a True Value promotion.

The company recently awarded the grand prize of its “Design SOS: Friend to the Rescue” contest to a contestant identified as "Marian P.," after her design-challenged “1940s Bathroom” received the most votes on StartRightStartHere.com.

“I’m ready to get to work on this bathroom with the help of True Value,” said Marian in her SOS video.

Marian will receive not only the cash to use at her local True Value Hardware store, but an in-person consultation with a True Value expert to get her bathroom made over.

“The pink plastic tiles are beginning to erode, the original "builder-grade" fixtures are beyond outdated, and the "window to nowhere" makes her bathroom a true decorating disaster,” the company said in a release.
