Snow gives boost to New York retailers

Schenectady, N.Y.-based Marty’s True Value has seen a boost in its business due to the increased snowfall in the Northeast this winter, according to the Times Union.

The retailer has seen sales in salt, shovels and scrapers grow exponentially, and has generated a lot of revenue from its snow blower repair services as well.

Owner Mike Aragosa said his business relies on snow-related sales in the winter months.
