Illinois store opens second location

Ottawa, Ill.-based Home Hardware, a Do it Best member, announced it has opened its second location, in the Lincoln Mall located in Freeport, Ill., March 4.

The new 28,000-sq.-ft.-store is located in what was once a J.C. Penney.

Ruth Snelting, owner of Home Hardware, said that the new location will fill the communities need for a local hardware store.

“We’re very thrilled to finally be here in Freeport. We know the people are looking forward to having a store back here in the north end of town,” she said.

Snelting said the new location will provide the community with all its hardware needs.

“We offer good old-fashioned service, nuts and bolts, rope and chain by the foot,” she said.

Home Hardware has been in business since 1926.
