Do it Best promotes Bailey and Hoffmann
Do it Best Corp. has promoted Marty Bailey to a new position in charge of the co-op's World Class Commerce Center initiative. The Fort Wayne, Ind.-based co-op also promoted Gary Hoffmann to the position of national advantage program manager.
Bailey will lead the co-op’s new strategic initiative to create a World Class Commerce Center, a single best-in-class online merchandise and sales catalog for members and customers. He will also be responsible for strategic oversight of doitbest.com. Bailey joined Do it Best in 1997 as InCom development specialist in the co-op’s commercial-industrial division. He became general manager of the InCom division in 2001.
Bailey is a graduate of Taylor University in Upland, Ind.
“Marty’s background in growing our industrial-commercial division provides him with the knowledge base to direct an extreme period of growth for our e-commerce sites,” said Bob Taylor, president and CEO of Do it Best.
Hoffmann will lead a new corporate team to attract new premier members both domestically and internationally, including dominant hardware retailers, contractor-oriented lumber retailers, industrial and commercial distributors, as well as non-traditional retail operations.
Hoffmann has been a regional sales manager with the co-op since 2007. He joined Do it Best in 2003 as a retail development specialist for southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
“With his experience, Gary is poised to deliver extreme growth in the recruitment of new Do it Best Corp. members,” said Dave Haist, executive VP and COO for the co-op.
