Ace signs three-year deal with Activant
Ace Hardware has signed a three-year deal that extends its relationship with Livermore, Calif.-based Activant Solutions, which specializes in software for a variety of industries. Ace will continue to endorse Activant as the co-op’s only recommended point-of-sale solution.
Ace and Activant have been collaborating since 2000, when Ace began using the Eagle system as a fully integrated technology solution for co-op members. Ace said it considered alternative solutions before signing the new deal with Activant.
“We’ve discussed this agreement with many Ace retailers across the country and have found the reception to be primarily positive,” said Mike Elmore, CIO of Ace Hardware. “We are very happy to offer the Activant Eagle solution as our endorsed point-of-sale platform and look forward to continued simplicity, functionality and value for our retailers.”
The Activant Eagle system is designed to automate processes including customer order management, point-of-sale operations, inventory management and vendor procurement.
