Woodstock Hardware's message to customers

3/17/2020
The following message was delivered recently to the friends and customers of Woodstock Hardware in Woodstock, N.Y.:

As I sit down to prepare Woodstock Hardware’s “Happy Spring” April newsletter, I realize the need to touch base with you. I want to update you on things here at Woodstock Hardware regarding how we and the Woodstock Community are being impacted by COVID-19.

As through all storms, power outages, hurricanes, and emergencies, Woodstock Hardware is open regular hours, and will remain so, unless forced to close due to government regulations.

Vince Christofora of Woodstock Hardware.

For years we have preached “preparedness” and do not intend to spread or capitalize on fear. For those who do not know, Woodstock Hardware believes that “when the going gets tough, the tough get going.”

Everyone at Woodstock Hardware works hard to persevere in unusual circumstances. We do not panic or overreact but instead we focus on making sure to do everything we can to meet your needs. We are here to help you and your family, in any way we can, during these unusual times.

As you might guess, the supply of products such as N95 masks, disinfectant wipes and sprays, and yes, oddly enough, even toilet paper are in very limited supply. But that does not mean these products are nonexistent. We continue to receive two deliveries a week, and sometimes they contain limited supplies of these products that are in high demand.

For your personal planning you should expect that many of these supplies will not be readily available until early May. But feel free to call or email the store to find out about product availability.

But please know that I am at my computer for over 12 hours a day working on sourcing and arranging delivery of the products and supplies you and your family need to get through the next 2-4 weeks…or longer.

For anyone concerned about “social distancing” while shopping, Woodstock Hardware is happy to help you shop at the store. Here is how we can make sure you get the supplies and products you need:

• You are always welcome to call or email the store to place an order. Please allow some time for us to pull your order together.

• We of course continue to offer our regular “curb side” delivery for those who need this service.

• You can shop our full inventory, over 30,000 items on our store website, www.ShopWoodstockHardware.com. and pick up your order at the store. At this time, we are not able to offer UPS delivery.

• You can visit our National suppliers web site, DoitBest.com, and shop more than 65,000 items and select the ship-to-store delivery option. We receive orders twice a week, every Tuesday and Friday.

Locally, with the School District closed for two weeks our Community is faced with the challenge of feeding students who normally get breakfast and lunch provided by the school district, and feeding seniors in our Community impacted by these unusual times. Please see my Facebook post on our Woodstock Hardware page to learn more about this issue and consider donating to the not-for-profit organization in Town working to meet these added needs – The Table. Emily and her husband Anthony, and their staff are working to prepare meals to meet these needs. Every $20 donation provides 10 meals. Please consider donating. Here is the link. https://www.thetableatwoodstock.org/donate

I hope you find this information useful and that it provides a little insight into what is going on in this little corner of the world. We continue to focus on keeping things as “normal” as they can be. If you need a break from “it all” feel free to stop in and say hello!

Well, I am looking forward to getting back to writing my “Happy Spring” April email, but I wanted all of you to know we are doing everything we can at Woodstock Hardware to provide a safe shopping environment and remain open to serve the needs of our community.

Sincerely,

The Christofora Family & Woodstock Hardware’s Amazing Staff
