Great Lakes Ace Hardware in Shelby Township, Michigan, will host a grand reopening celebration on April 19-21.
“The fresh new design of the store will help us highlight merchandise, create an enhanced shopping experience for our customers, and create additional opportunities to demonstrate how we live the Ace Helpful Promise daily,” said Kevin Bacon, general manager of Great Lakes Ace Hardware Shelby Township.
Some of the Friday events will include:
– A ceremonial chain cutting by Great Lakes Ace leadership and representatives from the City of Shelby Township and The Macomb County Chamber of Commerce will be held at 10 a.m.
– “Bring your door to our door” workshop by Benjamin Moore will be held 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Customers will receive tips on refinishing kitchen cabinet doors and a free half pint of Benjamin Moore paint.
There will also be bucket sales, prize drawings and BBQ rub samplings.
Great Lakes Ace Hardware Shelby Township will sell lawn and garden supplies, fasteners, tools, plumbing, and electrical supplies, and offers services such as automotive key cutting, fob replacement, and a propane tank exchange.
In addition to recently adding a full line of Carhartt workwear, the store said it also will feature several specialty departments selling such brands as: DeWalt, Craftsman, Weber, STIHL, and Solo Stove fire pits.
Founded in 1946 and headquartered in Farmington Hills, Michigan, Great Lakes Ace has been part of the Ace Hardware Cooperative since 2014.
