Gillman Do it Best Home Center celebrates its grand opening in Muncie with a ceremonial cutting of a wooden ribbon.
Gillman Do it Best Home Center opened their newest location in Muncie, Indiana – their 15th location throughout Central Indiana and Southwestern Ohio.
“Opening our new Muncie store location is something of a homecoming for me – I graduated from Ball State University, which is just a few miles down the road,” said Curtis Gillman, COO.
The COO and the hardware store team recently welcomed the community, city officials, and invited guests to a two-day, family-friendly celebration, kicking off festivities with the ceremonial cutting of a wooden ribbon, as well as a wood carving demonstration.
“I’m excited by how warmly the community has already welcomed our team of experts, and I’m excited to bring our unique combination of selection, service and support to them,” said Gillman.
The home center features 17,500 square feet of retail space and an expansive outdoor lumberyard.
The store said it features an extensive selection of building materials, grills, tools, and paint and paint supplies, as well as a wide selection of rental equipment.
As a highlight during the grand opening events, guests heard from Bruce “Gatorman” Mitchell from The History Channel’s “Swamp People,” and attended a luncheon benefiting the Greater Muncie Habitat for Humanity.
Founded in 1980, Gillman Do it Best Home Centers is a full-service hardware and lumber dealer with more than 300 team members.
