Green matters at PDIS

There’s a new framework in the works for green building standards, and few know it better than Vicki Worden.

Worden, the executive director of the Green Building Initiative, will deliver an educational seminar at the Oct. 28-30 ProDealer Industry Summit.

“Green Building Initiative and Green Globes: Into the Next Decade” is the title of her presentation, which looks at the GBI’s revision to its ANSI/GB1 01-2010 Standard -- the basis for today’s Green Globes for New Construction rating system.

Attendees will learn what changes are in store, and also how timely and controversial issues, such as water efficiency, materials transparency and operational energy performance, are taking shape in the revision process. Additional highlights include GBI’s unique position in the market, prominent customer segments, and ongoing relevance to the evolving definition of green and high-performance building in North America
