An expanded builders event kicks off
Las Vegas, Nevada -- The second annual Design & Construction Week is up and running, if you count the Jan. 18-22 Las Vegas Market, which covers home furnishings, accessories and gifts over at the World Market Center in Las Vegas.
But for most of the building supply industry, the main event is the combination International Builders Show and Kitchen & Bath Industry Show, which kick off Jan. 20 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Collectively described as a co-located Design & Construction Week, this year’s event has also added the International Window Coverings Expo. And over at Mandalay Bay Convention Center, the International Surface Event also kicks off Tuesday. (Registration badges are cross honored at all five shows.)
According to the D&C Week organizers, the combined shows will attract about 125,000 residential construction and design professionals. Some 3,750 exhibitors will promote products and services across more than 4.7 million net square feet of show floor. And as usual, a mini village of demo homes (everything but the plumbing) is rising from the parking lot of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
