Erie Materials, the Syracuse, New York-based roofing and building products distributor, has acquired NEG Building Products of Nicholson, Pennsylvania.

NEG designs, manufactures, and wholesales metal trim and roofing accessories. The company will continue to operate as usual and without interruption, Erie Materials said.

NEG founder Bob Wallace Sr. will remain engaged throughout the transition and his son, Bob Wallace Jr., will continue to be responsible for day-to-day operations. All existing employees, with an average tenure of over 20 years, are expected to remain with the company.

“Erie Materials and NEG have enjoyed a successful business partnership for more than 25 years and this acquisition will ensure long-term supply stability and quality of critical products for Erie Materials while enabling NEG to leverage Erie Materials’ strong relationships and market presence to expand its sales and product offering,” said Chris Neumann, president of Erie Materials.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary, Erie Materials distributes building materials for residential and commercial exteriors, such as roofing, siding, windows, doors, decking, manufactured stone veneer, and gutters.
