Trus Joist gains distribution

Weyerhaeuser announced new distribution relationships with Weekes Forest Products and F. P. Supply affecting the upper Midwest and the Mid-Atlantic.

The products in the deals include TJI joists, TimberStrand LSL, Microllam LVL and Parallam PSL.

Weekes Forest Products will become a distributor of Weyerhaeuser Trus Joist products in the St. Paul, Minnesota, and Chicago markets.

Weekes currently distributes Weyerhaeuser Trus Joist products in Wisconsin and Michigan. The company will combine its Michigan and Wisconsin territories with the Minnesota, North and South Dakota and Northern Illinois areas to align with the expanded Trus Joist distribution area.

Weyerhaeuser is taking on new partnership that affects the Mid-Atlantic -- specifically western Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia. F.P. Supply/Forest Products Supply is a wholesale distributor of lumber and building materials in the Midwest. Since the company was started in St. Louis in 1987, it has grown to six locations serving over 3,000 customers in 13 different Midwestern states.

“Expanding our long-standing 25-year partnership with Weyerhaeuser to now include western Pennsylvania and West Virginia allows us to strengthen our commitment to our customers by delivering Trus Joist products and services to the Mid-Atlantic market,” said Dan Millman, VP of F.P. F.P. Supply now distributes Trus Joist engineered lumber products from all six of its current locations.
