True Value's D.C. Reunion Plans
True Value says it will be ramping up its attendee-only discounts during its Spring Reunion in Washington, D.C. The Chicago-based co-op says early arrivals will benefit from up to 50% discounts on more than 150 items on Friday Feb. 9. The Reunion ruins through Feb. 12, during which time attendees will find more than 200 items at similar discounts.
Also on Friday, the co-op’s popular Retail Best Practices Conference will include an opening keynote from John G. Miller, an expert on accountability. Marcus Buckingham will deliver the closing keynote on unlocking strengths, increasing performance and pioneering the future of how people work.
The event’s market floor will include some new features. A Made in the USA area will provide stories behind products, along with old photos and vendor memorabilia.
The Reunion will turn up the volume for a Saturday night performance of Pat Benatar, whose hits include “Love is a Battlefield.”
