True Value Buying Day benefits the kids
True Value Company points to two reasons for vendors to participate in its Open Buying Day event on Dec. 10. First, it’s a chance for them to cut through the red tape with direct one-on-one access to a product buyer.
Secondly, the registration also benefits the True Value Foundation.
The sessions are being held at True Value Company’s Retail Support Center, 8600 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. in Chicago, near O’Hare Airport.
Vendors can expect a 30-minute, one-on-one session with a True Value product merchant to pitch their idea or product. “Vendors should participate because it’s their shot to share possibly ‘the next big thing’ with a decision-maker at True Value and identify business opportunities for their product or company,” the co-op said.
True Value’s product merchants buy for more than 4,000 independent retailers in any one of these departments: Plumbing, Lawn & Garden, Seasonal, Hardware, Electrical, Cleaning, Farm & Ranch, Housewares, Automotive, Pet, Tools and Paint.
True Value Foundation’s mission is focused on providing tools and resources to help youth reach their full potential, including partnerships with Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and clubs in the communities True Value serves.
To register, vendors contact Tory Tesdal at 1-773-695-5631 to schedule an appointment for Open Buying Day, and make a donation for $500 to the foundation. All proceeds from the Open Buying Day benefit foundation grantmaking and programs.
