True Value appoints international VP

Chicago-based True Value Company appointed Lars Hybel, a former Electrolux executive, to the position of VP international.

The appointment of the newly created position takes effect Jan. 12.

The co-op says Hybel has a wealth of experience leading multinational and global teams, having worked for more than 15 years at Electrolux. Since 1999, he has held a number of international leadership roles in small appliances and homecare products, including an assignment at the global head-office in Stockholm, Sweden.

Lars brings a strong track record of profitable sales growth worldwide, global team leadership and a diverse cultural perspective that will help drive the company’s growth,” said John Hartmann, True Value president and CEO.

Most recently, Hybel was vice president and general manager, global business unit, Electrolux Central Vacuum Systems, leading the transition of three regional operations to a global matrix organization, and successfully coordinating the first mass-channel entry in Canada, driving significant market share gain.

Prior to joining Electrolux, Hybel held various international positions for Newell Rubbermaid, Federal Signal Corp. and Fujisawa Pharmaceutical Company.
