Readers Respond: The rumor mill

True Value has been in the news here and here, regarding rumors of a possible sale. 

The company has maintained that is "continuously assessing and evaluating many opportunities in an effort to create maximum value for all of our retailers."

In a poll earlier this week, HBSDealer asked, "how much stock do you put in the rumors of a potential sale of True Value Company?"

This received a relatively high level of engagement -- 422 votes. Of those, 55% said "A lot."

Another 29% said "Not much," and 15% said "Don't know."
