At milestone, HDW points to sales record

Hardware Distribution Warehouses reported a sales increase of 9.4% for the full year of 2014 – its 20th anniversary year.

The Louisiana-based hardware distributor reported a sales increase of 9.4%.

“Our company showed increases every quarter during 2014, with our largest increase coming in the 3rd quarter - up over 12%,” said Kenny Beauvais, president and CEO. “The momentum continued as we finished with our strongest December on record – up over 17%.

“The single largest impact we felt during 2014 were the two very cold periods, one in January/February and another in November which drove sales of seasonal items,” Beauvais added. “Coupled with growth of new home construction and existing home sales helped us reach our record sales numbers. Geographically, all regions we serve have shown strong growth.”

The total sales figure for the year was not released.
