LBM promotion at Do it Best
Do it Best Corp. has announced the promotion of Jean Fahy to Division Manager for Building Material Sales, effective immediately.
In her new position, Fahy will work with the co-op’s building materials sales team to proactively provide strategic analysis and drive targeted sales initiatives designed for the long-term growth and ongoing success of its LBM member-owners.
“Jean has been instrumental in driving company sales while helping our members grow and succeed in a highly competitive marketplace,” said Gary Nackers, Vice President of Lumber and Building Materials at Do it Best Corp.
Fahy has served as a Regional Sales and Business Development Manager for the western United States since joining the co-op in 2012. During that time, she developed a high-performing team for her region, overseeing a significant increase in LBM and warehouse sales. Overall, Fahy has more than 20 years of industry experience, including extensive work as the national strategic manager for a large building materials distributor serving the nation’s top homebuilders.
“I am incredibly excited about this new role with our outstanding LBM team,” Fahy added. “Our industry is a different world than it was prior to the housing crisis and resulting recession, and this position provides an amazing opportunity to lead an experienced team committed to serving our members even better.”
Fahy’s new role highlights a broader strategic initiative the co-op is pursuing for its LBM and Merchandising teams as it continuously works to enhance its responsiveness to its members and more effectively allocate its resources, the co-op said. In addition to Fahy’s move, Joe Corah will transition to the role of Division Manager of Building Materials Purchasing and will retain ownership of the vendor relationships in bulk commodities. He will also “bring his many years of industry purchasing experience to Millwork, Home Décor and management of our distributor partner programs,” the company said.
“Joe’s experience and the increased focus in these areas will result in even stronger vendor relationships and enhanced programs for members,” said Nackers.
