Huttig lands a deal with Maibec

Huttig Building Products, the St. Louis-based distributor of millwork, building materials and wood products, entered a multi-year distribution agreement to be the exclusive distributor of the complete line of Maibec cedar siding and shingles.

Huttig described Maibec as “the leading provider of this product category.” It’s also the largest producer of eastern white cedar shingles in North America.

“The addition of the Maibec brand boosts our already outstanding product offerings in the Northeast region,” stated Greg Gurley, Huttig’s VP of product management and marketing.

Michel LeBlanc, VP sales and marketing for Maibec, said “Maibec’s reputation for producing the highest quality and most recognized brand of white cedar shingle products, combined with Huttig’s reputation for providing great customer service, makes this a great partnership for the customers of our products.”

Maibec will be available from Huttig’s Northeast distribution centers in Hooksett, New Hampshire; Newington, Connecticut; Augusta, Maine and Selkirk, New York and will service the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Eastern New York, Rhode Island and Vermont.
