HDW lends a hand to flood-ravaged Louisiana
Hardware Distribution Warehouses, Inc. is bringing out the supplies to flood-ravaged areas of Louisiana.
In addition to emergency shipments to several Baton Rouge-area dealers last week, HDW is now sending trucks to deliver more pallets of water and building materials.
“Our dealers affected in the Baton Rouge area have been loyal customers and friends of HDW for several years," said president and CEO Kenny Beauvais. "It is our community responsibility to assist the flood victims of that area."
"Being a Louisiana-based distributor, our hearts and prayers go out to all those affected by this event," he added. "In addition to the moral support, we are sending in trucks with water and building materials for use by our local dealers to assist in this massive recovery effort. We will continue to do so in order to assist those dealers and their customers through this. The effects of this flood could carry on for the next 3-4 years in the Baton Rouge area with a massive repair and rebuilding project. HDW looks forward to assisting with the renewal of the area with the help of our dealers, friends and customers.”
VP merchandising Billy Stapleton added that the company is working closely with its building material suppliers and manufacturers to keep the supplies coming. HDW maintains its own fleet of trucks and has been able to make adjustments to deliveries in order to meet the needs of flood victims.
