Do it Best teams up to donate bikes in Indianapolis
Do it Best Corp. held a team-building exercise with its sales and business development team to assemble and donate new children's bikes to an Indianapolis community center.
“The National Sales Meeting demonstrates how important it is for us as a co-op to invest in our team’s training so we can better serve our member-owners,” explained Do it Best Corp. VP sales and business development Jay Brown. “It is also important for us to show our gratitude to the City of Indianapolis for hosting our semi-annual markets for nearly 40 years. And we are honored to give back to the people of Indianapolis.”
The new bikes were presented to the Hawthorne Community Center on Thursday. Representatives of Hawthorne, as well as a number of children served by the center, were on-hand to accept the gifts.
“We are very excited to partner with the wonderful team at Do it Best Corp.,” added Diane Arnold, executive director of Hawthorne Community Center. “Each year, we hold a community bicycle round-up where we invite children from our surrounding neighborhoods to participate in a variety of bike-themed events. We will make great use of these new bicycles, and we are thankful to everyone at Do it Best Corp. for making this donation possible.”
The team-building project was part of the 2015 Do it Best May Market, held May 15-18 at the Indiana Convention Center.
