Do it Best expands its industrial/commercial offering

Indianapolis -- The evidence for the growth of industrial and commercial business is in, and it's pretty strong.


Overall, the market has averaged double-digit increases over the past several years, now reaching more than $500 billion annually. That's event bigger than the DIY market, which Do it Best estimates at about $300 billion. Plus, the industrial-commercial market is highly fragmented, with the biggest players reaching only about 6% market share, according to Do it Best executives.


The INCOM Distributor Supply division of Do it Best Corp. has seen an 80% increase in business in just the past three years.


With those numbers setting the stage, Do it Best Corp. is expanding on its industrial/commercial supply expertise to help its member-owners enter or expand their presence in this growing market. With the new Do it Best INCOM Supply, a dedicated program team will work with participating members to navigate a variety of product-mix options and the 5,000-plus vendor-direct programs they can access, according to the co-op.

The new Do it Best INCOM Supply program, offered through the industry-leading INCOM Distributor Supply division of Do it Best Corp., is specifically designed to help retail store owners successfully integrate industrial/commercial sales into their operations by providing a broad range of products and support services, including in-depth training, sales and marketing tools and professional guidance.


This fall, the co-op will begin a training program that will feature dedicated sessions on a number of business building topics, including selling strategies, expanded vendor programs, strategic e-commerce implementation, and advertising and marketing expertise.
