At Cedar Creek, a new CEO
LBM distributor Cedar Creek promoted D. Wayne Trousdale from chief operating officer to CEO.
The move is effective March 1.
Trousdale has been with Oklahoma City-based Cedar Creek since 1985. He began while still a college student, working at the Oklahoma City branch part-time as a warehouseman and truck driver. Trousdale later worked in various sales roles and became a partner in Cedar Creek in the 1988.
Following Cedar Creek’s acquisition by Charlesbank Capital Partners in 2010, Trousdale became a Vice President and Board Member of the newly-formed company. He was named Chief Operating Officer of Cedar Creek, LLC in 2012.
“D. Wayne’s extensive experience in the building products distribution industry, and with Cedar Creek, will serve him well as our new CEO,” said Bill Adams, chairman of Cedar Creek We wish him the very best in his new responsibilities.”
Trousdale will replace Adams, who will remain with the company as chairman.
Cedar Creek is a leading wholesale building material distribution company with twenty-four locations servicing thirty-two states. In May of 2010, Cedar Creek was recapitalized by Boston-based Charlesbank Capital Partners.
