Cedar Creek acquires UBS in Florida

Oklahoma City -- Cedar Creek announced the acquisition of UBS (Universal Building Specialties), a two-step building product distributor located in Lakeland, Florida.

The move brings Cedar Creek to 26 locations in 35 states. Cedar Creek is a wholesale building material distribution company.

Cedar Creek CEO D. Wayne Trousdale said: "This is a great fit for us as UBS is an outstanding company with great people and products and a dominant position in their market.  We are delighted to have UBS join the Cedar Creek organization."



Cedar Creek COO Alex Averitt added, “This acquisition advances our footprint in the Southeast and begins our efforts to better service the state of Florida.”

Back in December of 2015, Cedar Creek acquired JW Millwork of Wyoming, Michigan. In November, the company expanded with a new location in Lubbock, Texas.

In May of 2010, it was recapitalized by Boston-based Charlesbank Capital Partners with the goal of providing flexible capital for the company to grow beyond its current trade areas.
