Boise Cascade is celebrating 60 years

2/20/2018

Boise Cascade Company is hosting a year-long celebration of its 60-year anniversary as a united company.

In May 1957, Boise-Payette Lumber Company merged with Cascade Lumber Company to form the entity currently known as Boise Cascade.

“Our company has gone through a lot of changes over the past 60 years,” notes CEO Tom Corrick. “Through it all we have been sustained by our culture and ability to build and maintain strong and lasting relationships with our employees, customers, suppliers, communities, and owners.  Our celebrations over the next year will honor those relationships as we talk about who we are, where we have been, and how excited we are about where we are going.”

The company plans to celebrate the milestone with each of Boise Cascade’s over 6,600 employees at nearly 60 locations throughout the United States and Canada.

"Boise Cascade is proud of the stability and focus of their two core businesses, Wood Products Manufacturing and Building Materials Distribution. They pride themselves on being a stable and consistent partner with a strong sense of urgency to help customers achieve success.

Boise Cascade’s customers and suppliers are an integral part of their history.  During their year-long 60th celebration they are taking the opportunity to say thank you to their customer and supplier partners that have contributed to their success.  They could not have done it without the loyal relationships and support," said the company in a statement.

Boise Cascade also noted that most of the senior management team has been with the company for more than 35 years.

"While experience is important, Boise Cascade is extremely focused on bringing in the next generation and immersing them in the culture," added the company. "While Boise Cascade is celebrating 60 years of service to this outstanding industry, they continue to look to the future.  Investing in capacity, infrastructure and facility upgrades, Boise Cascade is also committed to investing in technology to provide the best, most accurate service possible for their partners."
