BlueTarp Financial teams with Ace Hardware

2/20/2018

BlueTarp Financial announced that Ace Hardware Corporation has selected BlueTarp as the preferred commercial credit program for its Ace stores.

The move brings BlueTarp closer to the Ace organization, members of which can choose to participate. The program is rolling out on a limited bases currently, with broad availability targeted for the fourth quarter.

Ace’s recent emphasis on business-to-business sales opportunities fits well with the new prgoram, according to BlueTarp. Ace retailers can leverage this valuable tool to attract new professional customers and better serve existing ones by offering extended payment terms, larger credit lines and convenient online tools. In addition, stores receive guaranteed payments on their professional sales and reduce their risk of non-payment by contractors.

“Ace Hardware is a forward-thinking company constantly seeking ways to help its local store owners grow and succeed,” said BlueTarp president and chief executive officer Scott Simpson. “We are proud to partner with them to provide their retailers with a professional credit management program that gives them a competitive edge.”

Under the program, all of the more than 4000 U.S.-based Ace stores have the opportunity to enroll in BlueTarp’s commercial credit program that is specifically tailored to the needs of building supply contractors.

“With BlueTarp, I can offer terms that my pro customers expect,” said John Pugh, owner of South Bay Ace Hardware and Lumber. “Plus, I get paid – guaranteed – every two weeks and can focus on growing my business. It’s a win-win.”

The program integrates with two solutions from Epicor Software Corporation, Epicor Eagle and the recently launched Eagle N Series solution – the preferred retail business management system deployed by Ace Hardware Corporation – as well as other leading retail management solutions.
