Ace promotes Miller and Wiborg
Ace Hardware has made a couple of executive promotions. Dan Miller has been named VP retail operations and new business, while Brian Wiborg will assume the role of VP retail development and supply.
“Ace is pleased to promote Dan and Brian, both of whom have been difference makers for Ace for quite some time,” said John Venhuizen, president and CEO. “In their new roles, Dan and Brian will be laser focused on our passion to continuously improve the retail store model. I know these individuals well and am confident these two leaders will take us further, faster.”
Miller has been with Ace for 33 years, beginning in 1981 as a district manager and succeeding responsibilities as retail services manager, store development manager, international sales manager for Europe and the Middle East, regional manager, manager, new business and director of retail operations for the Western region.
Wiborg has been back with Ace for about a year now after working there initially between 1994 and 2010. In his most recent role, he served as director of category management and business to business. Now, he will oversee category management, retail pricing, retail training, retail development, store systems & operations, and business to business.
Miller will be taking the place of Kane Calamari, who is now serving as VP human resources, organizational development and communications.
Meanwhile, Wiborg will be succeeding Tom Knox, who took over Westlake Ace Hardware as president and CEO last year.
