Ace names new VP of IT and CIO
Ace Hardware Corporation hired Karen Fedyszyn as VP of information technology (IT) and chief information officer.
Reporting to Ace’s CFO, Fedyszyn will play an integral role in driving strategic technology and systems management for Ace to shape business functions and deliver significant return on investments, the co-op said.
“Karen is an accomplished global information technology leader who brings a wealth of systems management and experience from some of the most highly regulated industries,” said Bill Guzik, executive VP, chief financial officer and chief risk officer, Ace Hardware Corporation. “Karen is a proven leader in the field of information systems, directing teams of more than 1,000 and managing multi-billion dollar budgets.”
Fedyszyn, 45, spent the last 14 years as an executive leader at HSBC, the second largest bank in the world. She most recently served as senior vice president of IT for HSBC’s U.S. group (U.S. CIO level), after serving as executive vice president and global head of delivery (global CIO level) while living in Hong Kong. Fedyszyn also spent time in London as senior vice president and global head of data centers and chief technology officer. Prior to HSBC she spent six years with Monsanto after spending four years with IBM.
