Ace Hardware hits Dallas
If Thursday morning’s General Session here at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas follows the script of previous events, it will set the tone for three days of buying, learning and networking for Ace nation. And there will probably be a little cheerleading for the independent hardware store on full display.
Oak Brook, Ill.-based Ace Hardware’s 2018 Spring Convention & Exhibits will run for three days, mixing exhibit hall displays and retail training sessions. “Connect. Grow. Learn. Profit” is one of the themes in play here.
The event comes a month after the co-op posted 2017 total revenues of $5.4 billion, an increase of 5.1% from the previous year.
At the time, CEO John Venhuizen stated: “I’m also encouraged to report that 2017 marked the fifth-straight year of increased customer transactions at retail, the sixth-straight year of net new store count growth, the eighth-straight year of increased same-store-sales, and the eleventh-straight year receiving the J.D. Power award for highest customer satisfaction.”
