Desert Ace Hardware will reopen with a, “three-day celebration featuring giveaways, exclusive sales, and a grand fiesta for the entire community April 12-14,” the business said.
Two years in the making, Desert Ace Hardware in Twentynine Palms, California, is inviting residents to its grand reopening fiesta event April 12-14.
On its Facebook page, Desert Ace Hardware wrote: “After remodeling, re-organizing, and moving every single product in the store here, there, and everywhere, we will reopen – and also the doors that have been closed for decades from our original 1960 building will become the new front entrance of Desert Ace Hardware.”
This town of 25,000 borders the Joshua Tree National Park in the California desert northeast of Palm Springs.
The original storefront, said Janet Kodish, store owner, “once an auto parts shop when I was a kid in the 1960s, has been totally transformed with the help of Jim Wheeler Construction,” said Kodish.
“Now it’s an outdoor living, shopping destination, with grills, BBQ rubs, and fuels; pool supplies; patio furniture; RV and camping supplies, cycling gear, gardening, and even chicken supplies. We can’t wait for folks to see it,” said Kodish.
“Our dedicated team at Desert Ace Hardware, led by Store Manager Kelly Corney, has been working on this expansion for two years,” said Kodish, who took over the store in 2018 from founders Sam and Harriet Kodish.
