If you want to see the latest decking trends in 2020, Las Vegas is the new spot.
The organizers of the Remodeling Show and Deck Expo have announced big changes in venue and format for this year’s event.
Rather than being held in the Baltimore Convention Center as originally planned, the Remodeling Show portion of the exhibition is moving a to virtual format slated for Oct. 13-15.
Additionally, the Deck Expo is moving from Baltimore to Las Vegas and will co-locate with the International Pool I Spa I Patio Expo (PSP), being held Nov. 8-13 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
“Outdoor living is an important segment that’s been on the rise for key players in the pool, spa, and patio arena,” said Ray Giovine, group director for the International Pool | Spa | Patio Expo. “The collaboration with DeckExpo and the energy and audience it brings will be paramount as we work together to better serve our industries."
To meet the need for inpatient care, the exhibit hall of the Baltimore Convention Center has been converted into a facility to treat those recovering from COVID-19, Remodeling Show officials said.
As a result, the Remodeling Show plans to showcase the latest building products and techniques through a virtual experience. The new format will include building clinics, product demonstrations, and conference sessions offered on-demand.
“While we still powerfully believe in the value of a physical event, having to innovate the Remodeling Show this year provided our team with an opportunity to rethink what makes remodeling great, said Kristen McKercher, Remodeling Show director.
“A big part of that is the education and thought leadership that the show provides, and we’re excited to work with our community to deliver our best in class conference program in a new and more dynamic way,” she said.
